The short version: this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and does no tracking. The only personal data it handles is what you choose to send through the contact form, by email, or by booking a call, and that is used solely to reply to you.
Who I am
Built by Brookes is Jordan Brookes, a sole trader based in Nottingham, England. For anything in this notice, email hello@builtbybrookes.com.
What I collect, and why
If you use the contact form, I receive what you enter: your name, your business, your email address and your message. I use it only to respond to your enquiry and continue that conversation. The lawful basis is legitimate interest: you have asked me something, and I am answering.
If you email me directly, I hold that correspondence for the same purpose and nothing else.
How the form reaches me
Form submissions are delivered to my inbox by Formspree, Inc., a form-handling service acting as my processor. Their privacy notice is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Booking a call
The “Pick a time” button on the contact page opens Cal.com, a separate scheduling service with its own privacy notice at cal.com/privacy. This site passes nothing to it; anything you enter there, you enter on their site.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs (your IP address, the page requested and the time) for security and reliability. Cloudflare’s privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Messages to hello@builtbybrookes.com are routed by Cloudflare Email Routing to my mailbox and held there like any other correspondence.
Video
Films on this site are hosted on this site and play only when you press play; nothing is downloaded before that. If a film is ever embedded from Vimeo or YouTube instead, it is shown as a still image until you press play, and pressing play loads their player, which may set their own cookies under their own notices: vimeo.com/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy.
What I don’t do
No cookies. No analytics. No advertising or tracking pixels. I do not sell or share your details with anyone, and I do not add you to any mailing list.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry correspondence only as long as the conversation warrants, and I delete it on request.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to my processing it. Email hello@builtbybrookes.com. If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
